Apple Butter day is more than making apple butter, it is a social time of getting together with family. This event reconnects the cousins as they sip hot cider, play games and visit.

23 Gallons of apple butter ready to eat with townhouse crackers and peanut butter. Yummy. Dads shed makes a wonderful place for this large gathering. If it rains or snows we are still in the dry.

Just finished quilting all the double lines around the stars.
Now I am starting to quilt the blocks.

It is so nice to visit a day in your family's life. How fun! I miss being with my boys who don't live real close. Your quilt is awesome. I remember seeing it in the earlier stages. What I missed was seeing the added block in the pattern. Beautiful!

I hand quilt and thought from afar this was a wide zig zag that changes color but it is applique??? Help... do you have a post just on this quilt??? How you pieced this masterpiece??? Love it!!!! ReplyDeleteMmmm, I love apple butter...! I am the only one who eats it so when I see the little tiny packets at a restaurant (by the little jam packets) I always take 2 extra... I love that quilt. Where can I find the instructions/pattern?
