ReplyDeleteYour hint helped and seeing your quilt makes me think I could never do that, but knowing how it is pieced like this, makes it easy to comprehend. Love the block and the stonehenge fabric with it, really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I think I see them with the hint, but not sure. I'm sure your book would help to learn how to make these types of blocks.
ReplyDeleteI think I see them. One is with the small diamonds centered on triangle. The other is has a strip of color at one point? Hard to find! LOL Would love to win the book.

ReplyDeleteI had to look at your diagram to find the triangles. Unique block and awesome quilt. rozz01@cox.net
ReplyDeleteI think there could be diamonds running up your hint line. But if you didn't ask, I would have said it was put together differently.
ReplyDelete24Tangent@gmail.com
Can't see the two different triangle blocks, but now I am intrigued to figure out this quilt. Thanks for the cool giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI did not find the blocks. Sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees!! I love that you included lots of layouts for the blocks. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAfter much squinting, staring, and maneuvering, I have to admit that these old eyes were not able to find the triangle block, but that's alright because the block is just beautiful and that's all that matters. I love all the color variations you have shared with us and appreciate the opportunity to participate in the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if I found the triangle blocks or not. I found some, but I am not sure they are the ones you are referring to.
ReplyDeleteYour block is my favorite on today's hop.
Love your block from the magazine! Even with the hint I couldn't find the block on your cover quilt. I have seen some of your quilts in the past and they are always amazing, just like the one on the book cover!
ReplyDeleteYour new block looks like a challenge and I'd love to make it. I would also love a copy of your new book. I see the triangle units in the orange and gray hexagon. The star block is a little harder to see but if you look close you can see them. You do these amazingly well.
ReplyDeleteI think I can find one - but not sure on the 2nd? Great design.
ReplyDeleteI love your block but I'm not sure I can find the triangle!
ReplyDeleteYes I do see them, the easy one to spot is the triangle making up the hexagon with orange star. The other is in the gray/aqua. Wow I would LOVE to win your book, great design! Love your stonehenge block a lot!
ReplyDeleteI could find one but not the other- I bet the book makes it obvious! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteWhat a challenge to find you blocks. I love your block. Is it paper pieced? Have to make one of these in a variety of colors. What fun it is. Thanks for sharing. h

ReplyDeleteLove the quilt! I think so, in the highlighted area;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I can't find the two blocks. I see a big triangle and a thin one. I should have paid more attention in geometry class because I can't name the two I see. All I remember is
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, I can't find the triangle sets.. All I see is a big fat triangle and a thin one. I should have paid more attention in geometry. I can't even name the two I see. All I remember is Right and Isosceles. It' s still an intriguing block.
This is a fun blog tour, thanks for putting my name in the drawing. I 'think' I might know what the 2 triangles are but looking forward to your answer.
ReplyDeleteI thought I saw the triangles but then scrolled down to the "hint" and I was waaaaaay off. : )
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity! notwendy gmail
Not sure that I found the 2 blocks, but have a guess. I will see if I'm right tomorrow. Thanks for the opportunity to win the magazine and book.
ReplyDeleteThough I see two different kinds of triangles, I'm not sure I see the blocks. I love optical illusion blocks! I can't wait to get my copy and try out this block!
ReplyDeleteThere are only two triangle units used but flipped when set-am I right? Will wait to find out the answer!
ReplyDeleteNeat block.....so many blocks so little time . There appears to be two equilateral triangles one block has a slivered triangle of color on one side and the second block has the color down the center in what appear to be small diamond shapes
ReplyDeleteInteresting block, I love the spinning effect.
ReplyDeleteWell I saw one.....I don't know that I ever found #2, but I will be back to find out the answer.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really neat block, I may have to add it to my to do list.
(just in case: m3reyna at gmail dot com)

ReplyDeleteI love your block! It's beautiful in blues (my favorite color)! I couldn't find your triangles. Will have to wait until you show us in your next post.
ReplyDeleteYour block is beautiful! I'll have to wait for your reveal to see the two different triangle blocks.
ReplyDeleteWhew, I see the triangles flipped end to end that make the stars and then the others with a sliver of red in them, I think that's right? Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the different setting for Triangle Tricks. It's a very interesting block! I couldn't find the triangles.
ReplyDeleteIt was a little tricky at first but I finally got it with your wonderful hint. What a wonderful block. Congrats on having a block in the magazine.

ReplyDeleteLove your Triangle Tricks block ... so much movement! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteSad to say, no matter how hard I tried I could not find the triangle block units on your book cover.
Love your block and SO intrigued by your book! I love quilts that have blocks running across like your small diamonds! But no, I can't see the triangles. Would love a chance to dig into your book! Thanks for the gorgeous block!
ReplyDeleteWonderful blocks!! I would definitely love to have your book! thanks
ReplyDeleteWow...very nice design. Giving me ideas!
ReplyDeleteI see the large triangle, but I'm stumped on the little diamonds that make the chain--I've never paper pieced, but love the look of it. I really love your block--I may have to learn to paper piece soon!
ReplyDeleteAs a retired art teacher, I truly appreciate the artistic expression of your block! I think I solved your quest, but I will have to check back to make sure. Would like to further explore your designs! Thanks so much for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI can see the triangles, how clever! I looks great! Would love to try it.
ReplyDeleteLove your blocks, but boy I don't see the block....guess I need the book. ha ha....so pick me.
ReplyDeleteI think I see the triangles, but they are tricky!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to have a challenge. I think they are in the point of the star. I am going to have to make this block into a quilt because I love the look.
ReplyDeleteI see the two triangles. I think I have figured out the chain also. Interesting block!
ReplyDeleteI love star blocks - congrats on a great design!! I had to really search!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful square, looks like a real challenge

This block is stunning...seriously one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteLove your creativity - thank you for your kind generosity.
ReplyDeleteI see the triangles!
ReplyDeleteYour block is so beautiful....I don't see the blocks ...but very pretty quilt on cover of book
ReplyDeletethim3@hotmail.com
Yes, I believe I can see two triangle blocks on the book cover, one with a slice of orange and one with a row of diamonds. I took me a few minutes and increasing the size of the image on my computer screen. Even then I was looking for squares instead of triangles; guess I have to learn how to think outside the box a bit.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a chance to win.
I think I found them. I would love to win either book!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry; but have to be honest and say I do not see those triangles. I find it challenging to figure out some of the more complicated blocks. Maybe complicated isn't the correct word; but it is hard for me just the same.
ReplyDeleteAm really enjoying the blog tour.
I think I see them, would love to know for sure by reading the book...
ReplyDeleteGrew block! I wasn't able to see the triangle blocks until you gave us a hint. Your book looks interesting and I would love to learn to make the quilt on the cover. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving a hint on wre the triangle blocks were on the quilt on the cover of your book. I like to read books and keep them for references and patterns to be used in quilts. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI can't see it yet. I look forward to tomorrow's reveal. I love your patterns, and this new block looks really interesting.
ReplyDeleteYour block pattern first looked like a card trick block, then it looked like some gear links. It is certainly an illusion block.
ReplyDeleteI believe I have found them both triangles within your hint lines. I love that quilt pattern on your book cover.
Wow! This block is absolutely stunning. I couldn't find it. But, it appears I am not alone. Congrats on getting into the magazine.
ReplyDeleteI think I see a white triangle, but it's probably a trick. Unfortunately, I'm not good at picking out blocks until I've made the pattern, or seen it made. I love your block, and the quilt on the cover of your book is to die for. Thanks for the lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteDrats, maybe my eyes are too tired to find the triangles! I love this block & thank you for a chance at the give-away.
ReplyDeleteMaureen

I guess I'm being dense today. Can't see the triangle units even with the hint. Love the purple samples though.
ReplyDeleteI can't find them... the quilt is beautiful, and the block is, too! Thanks for the giveaway; I'd love to win. sarah@forrussia.org
ReplyDeleteI see them! Thanks to your hint. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your block! I think I see the triangles - the one with the diamonds is tricky.
ReplyDeleteNow I know why my son loves "hidden Pictures" so much! Yep, I really needed that yellow boxed hint! Genius! Congrats on a very fun block! Can't wait to try it out :) Kudos!! (still laughing)
ReplyDeleteI can't find them. Your blocks look so complex, but I bet you have cool ways to make them easy!! I like the movement in your block.
ReplyDeleteI think I do seen th 2 blocks
ReplyDeleteYour block is go lovely; it's foundation pieced, right? No I could not find the two blocks. But then, I'm terrible at seeing blocks in a quilt unless I've made the quilt - and maybe not even then.
ReplyDeleteI think I see them-- equaliteral triangle with diamonds going down center, and another with an orange sliver?
ReplyDeleteI love your blocks. Itching to play with some fabric and give them a try.
I feel like I've been following Andresa through the hop all evening and wanting to repeat her comments! ;-) No, I cannot find 2 triangles. Maybe one... but if I had the one, the other should become obvious, right? So probably I don't.
ReplyDeleteStunning block. could not figure out your triangle puzzle.
ReplyDelete.
I love the the table runner as it makes your blocks to have motion. But now the quilt is super as I love purple.
ReplyDeleteI think I found the blocks of triangles. It is so interesting to try to figure out patterns in a pattern.
Your block is wonderful. Thanks for the setting ideas as well. I THINK I found one of the triangle blocks but couldn't for the life of me find the other. I'll be checking back!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the hint...I found the orange and gray triangle quickly but the other looks more like a diamond...guess I need more of a hint.
ReplyDeleteI think they are gray and white...can't wait to try you block from vol 9.....
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I can see the two. I see one triangle, then I think I see three different triangles. But looking at your gallery, I would like to try making a few of your designs.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure I know but would love the book to make sure!
ReplyDeleteI thought I found them until the hint! I can't wait to see for sure :) Thanks for the chance to win. ksmith8@emich.edu
ReplyDeleteI thought I saw it then with the yellow lines I said uh.. no I dont see it!
ReplyDeleteI think i see the 2 blocks and then reverse them for other side? Very interesting indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to see the reveal--very tricky piecing! The book looks like a lot if fun and I love your block!
ReplyDeleteOnly two triangle units? I guess I'm going to have to wait for the reveal!
ReplyDeleteAnd just in time!!!... Triangles have been rolling around in my mind!! Lol... Awesome stuff!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it would require the book/pattern to figure it out. I'd LOVE to make this!
ReplyDeleteI think the triangles are the star points. I would love your book because stars and diamonds are my favorite blocks and pieces.
ReplyDeletereillyr2(at)hotmail(dot)com
I can see the triangles but have no idea how you created the block. I will need the book to understand this one.
ReplyDeleteI am not completely sure of the two separate triangles. It might be easier if I saw it in person. It is a very interesting quilt. I would love to have the book. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOne of the triangle blocks was easy to find, but the other a bit harder. Your clue helped.
ReplyDeleteI must admit, I see one, but because I can't see the other, I'm doubting myself on the first! Now I almost want your book more than the 100 Blocks book! Love this block too. It's definitely out of the box! Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI see one, and am almost thinking I see the other. But now I want the book more than the magazine so I can be sure. I'm sure when you show it, I'll feel a bit silly for not seeing it.
ReplyDeleteI can see the one with the orange and grey. But it is too late at night for me to see what is different about the darker part of the row. Now I'm verrrrry curious.
ReplyDeleteNot quite but spatial relations is not my strong suit!
ReplyDeleteI see the two triangles I think...one is light grey/orange the other is dark grey/blue. each block is made with a different triangle shape.
ReplyDeleteI love your block and the throw pattern design. I see 3 triangle units on the cover of Diamond Chains.
ReplyDeleteI love your block in issue #9. Couldn't see it .
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I got it right! Interesting!
ReplyDeleteReally like this block. Would love to try it out - it makes a killer table runner and wall hanging. Not quite sure if I got the blocks right - looking forward to finding out. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteFound the two blocks. At first thought there might be a third, but it was a different color set of one. Great looking quilt block and book. Thanks, From northern Iowa. . ..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful block. You've also shown the two colors I've really been loving together lately; the purple (favorite color) and lime green.
ReplyDeleteYou are just so sneaky the way you make things look so hard while they are actually super easy. I have stared and even enlarged the picture and am not positive I see the triangles. I think maybe I might, but I'm not sure
Even with the help I can't see it!! Too cool!!! thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love your Triangle Tricks block, and your Diamond Chain book looks great too!
ReplyDeleteI think I can see one triangle--it's the light grey background with a sliver of reddish-orange to form those six-pointed stars. The other triangle has a column of tiny diamonds up the center, but I can't figure out how it is pieced. I would love to win your book to find out!
Fantastic block. Took awhile but I see it!
ReplyDeleteI see 3 different triangles. Love the block
ReplyDeleteI think one sign of a good quilt design is when it is hard to figure out the blocks -- and, no, I don't see just two.
ReplyDeleteThat's a hard one for my tired little brain....
ReplyDeleteI had a hard time until I saw your hint. There is a triangle with the diamond pieces and a second triangle with the one angle done in a different color. Great design. I love your block Triangle tricks too!
ReplyDeleteThis really is tricky! I finally see it -- so creative!
ReplyDeleteI do not see it, but that is ok. I love your block, very cute.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't find the triangle. But what a great block and the Stonehenge is always a favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't find the triangles until I saw your hint. Very cool design! And I love Triangle Tricks. Looks like a versatile block.
ReplyDeleteYour hint really helped. The one is pretty easy to see, but the second is harder. Nancy: rangerer@sbcglobal.net
ReplyDeleteI see the triangles now that you have given us the hint.. very pretty block. might have to make this one soon,,.
ReplyDelete
