My quilt "Nebula" is almost completed.
Here is a close up picture of the quilting in "Nebula".
Here I am saftey pin basting a quilt I finished piecing of Terry's (husband) great, great aunt. The pieces of this quilt were cut out and placed in a box and later sold at a family auction. Terry's cousin bought the box of pieces and years latter saw she would never finish the quilt. She gave it to us hoping some day it would get finished. Now it is pieced and I am ready to hand quilt it.

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your blog with me. Your quilts are stunning and the painting on the wall at your Mother's is unbelievable. I would have loved telling all my friends the same as you.
ReplyDeleteMy mother has a Dresden Plate quilt that was pieced by her grandmother. Her grandmother wasn't able to do the quilting on it before she passed away, so when my mom inherited the top, she had it quilted. Mom was never much for sewing, even though she comes from a family of sew-ers. She claims that the quilting gene skipped a few generations and ended up with me!
