Simply Triangles Blog Tour

Thanks to everyone who participated in my blog tour.  I am so grateful to C&T Publishing and all the stops along the way. This is the last stop of the blog tour.  Here are some quilts made from Simply Triangles book.

What can be done with the "Shenandoah Star" quilt?

Make a wall quilt from one of the hexagon.

Make two quilts and quilt them together, one on front and one on the back.  Half the amount of quilting.

A smaller version of "Pinwheel Spin".

Check this quilt out that
American School Girls Quilt  made by using the repeats of fabrics. The pattern is "Fall Stars" in Simply Triangles.

A blue rendition of "Simple Christmas Star" in Simply Triangles book.  An overlay is on half the star diamonds to give the quilt dimension.

A zigzag stitch is used over embroidery thread to accent the star.

There is still time to post on some of the blogs for a chance to win "Simply Triangles" book.  Click on the stops below and see if you can still add a comment.

  5. Loved looking at the quilts from your new book and would love to try several. Triangles look interesting and give lot of movement to a quilt. All those bias edges worry me! nridder@hurontel.on.ca

  6. Thank you so much Barbara for the blog tour so we could learn more about you and your family as well. It must be wonderful to have an entire family that shares the same interests you have in quilting.
All of the quilts shown during the blog tour from your book are just stunning. I really love the Pinwheel Spin Quilt. And I really love the Simple Christmas Star Quilt as well. Thank you for the tutorial to make one of our own. I'm hoping to attempt it but I have had a lot of interruptions to my normal routine with family that has had to move in with us so getting anything done has been a miracle at times. But, that isn't any sort of complaint for sure considering the biggest distraction taking me away from sewing/quilting/machine embroidery is my newest, almost 7 month old Granddaughter. She's just adorable and I'm thrilled to have that capability of holding her all day long when I want to.

Anyway, the cover quilt is still my absolute favorite. That quilt is just gorgeous and uses my two favorite color combinations that I have loved forever; purple and blue.

Thank you for the chance to win a copy of your book and also the ruler that I've had on my wish list for awhile now.

Because the rules state one entry per person, I'm going to assume you want to know that I am also following your blog. Thank you for pointing out that it was possible to do so by scrolling all the way to the bottom as I had never found it before reading that, although I'd looked many times before. (I would LOVE to have the capability to follow your blog via email notification myself also if you would consider adding that as I find it easier)

  15. Hi Barbara! I noticed that the first commenter was Deb G in Va....that's not me, but I've seen her comment on several quilting blogs. It's evidently yet another Deb G! LOL!

But maybe this Deb G will be drawn to win your book! :) I've enjoyed all the blog hopping this week and enjoyed quilt class today. Thanks!
