American Patchwork & Quilting Podcast

Come join in on the fun at American Patchwork & Quilting.  I wanted  to let you know that next Monday, September 16, I will be a guest on the American Patchwork & Quilting radio show with Pat Sloan. I am thrilled that Pat asked me to be on the show. The show will air live at 4pm eastern but the podcast will be available after that on the website. If you have not listened to the show before come over and check out all you have been missing. There are many past shows on the site- the perfect thing to listen to while you stitch. You can get to the page HERE

Here is the finished "Russian Quilt" I was in the
process of making in my last post.

I placed the stars on different color backgrounds
to see which background I liked
the best and the red background won.

My three girls doing what they like to do.
Parla decorating a cake for her sister-in laws wedding.

She made three different cakes.  It was an outdoor
wedding and the cakes fit the occasion so well.

Rebecca making a breakfast skillet in her new dutch oven.

Autumn making a quilt she designed.

Since Parla was home from Canada
 I wanted  a family picture.

Mummsy just could not get enough of this little gal.

Food over the fire is always the best.

  2. The quilt is beautiful! Enjoyed your post. Your little granddaughter is quite a keeper, isn't she?

  3. Oh Barbara I love each and everyone of your posts. I thought it right neat how each one of your girls were doing different projects and each one enjoying what they were doing......I assume while you were playing with Brighten. By the looks of things you'll soon be a Mummsy again.

  4. Love that layout of the Russian quilt! Very fun!

  7. You are lucky with such handy daughters and darling granddaughter! What made an amazing cake! And I love your 'Russian Quilt' and I love to see Autumn's quilt finished.
I am Dutch, but I wonder what is a 'Dutch oven'?
    Have a nice weekend
    Love from Amsterdam.

    1. A Dutch oven is a thick-walled (usually cast iron) cooking pot with a tight-fitting lid.

  8. I can't get over the talented daughters and the love they obviously have for their mom. The love birds cake is awesome and I want one!
