Free Quilt Book

I am thrilled again to have my 5th quilt book
 published by C&T Publishing.

The technique is Magic Add-A-Strip. Here is an example of the Magic Add-A-Strip technique.  This quilt is a tumbling block layout, which is made up of all diamond blocks.

When you slice the diamond block twice on the sides and add two 1" strips you create a block that looks like this. WOW that is a strip-a-dee-do-dah wonderfully simple quilt that looks complex.

By rotating the blocks and changing the colors I now have created the quilt "Who Spilt the Crayons?" that is pictured above.

Each one of my sisters, daughters and daughter-in-law
made a project and added their own flair to it.  They could
change rotation, placement of the block and could resize the
block.  They also could add sashing or spacer blocks
between the blocks. This is my quilt.

Here is my sister Julia's version.

Family Traditions

Mother was thrilled to have a ride in the airplane my brother built.

5 of the 7 grands loaded up in the van to go
visit our 8th grandchild that was born a few days earlier.

Deacon was born on our apple butter boiling day.  We
missed you Abe and Rebecca on this day
but are delighted that Deacon is here safe and sound.

The marble machine was a big hit at
Grammy and Granddaddy's house.

A highlight of the day is visiting around the apple butter kettle.

I had such fun playing with the grands.

The apple butter is done and we are filling the jars.

Skeet shooting is a part of this fun day.
As a quilter
This is a cool quilt pattern.

I just love how this quilt looks like it would be so
hard to piece but is very simple. For the pattern click on this link. Free Quilt Pattern
A great day at the Mennonite Relief Sale.
Thought you might enjoy this picture of my sisters
and brother.  Can you guess which one I am?
