Days at Quilt Market

This years spring Quilt Market was in Kansas City. I went as an author for C&T PublishingOn one of the days I was there, I did a school house presentation.  A schoolhouse is a 20 minute presentation of a quilting technique or promoting a quilting product.

Gailen and Megan have been so helpful to me in the whole process of book publication.

While at Quilt Market, Creative Grids, which is a company that makes quilting gadgets, filmed me using some of their products.

One evening I went out for supper with Ruthmary, another lady I interact with at C&T Publishing.

We ate at a Japanese restaurant where they cooked the food right in front of us.

One of the quilts that caught my eye was a modern quilt displayed in front of Michail Miller Fabrics booth.

I will be teaching an all day class on this quilt, stacking birds, at Patchwork Plus on June 2nd.

Come join the fun and learn the tricks of: stack and whack and cutting 60 degree triangles.  This is a fast project to make.

Bloggers' Quilt Festival

Hello everyone and welcome to the big "Quilt Festival" at
 Amy's Creative Side.Amy's Creative Side
I want to share with you a miniature quilt I created called "Over the Sea".  This quilt was made for a fund raiser for the Virginian Quilt Museum.   What inspired me to make this little quilt was a larger quilt I made called ......

"Under The Sea".  I created this quilt using a triangle block layout.  Can you find the triangles? There are no "Y" seams in this quilt.  Although it looks like it is complicated to piece, it is quite simple.  There are three different triangle block units.

So excited, C&T Publishing has accepted my third book proposal.  This quilt will be one of the many quilts featured in my new book.

Two quilts in one.  You only need to do half the quilting when quilting two at a time.  I needed this for a sample at Quilt Market.
