Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Magazine Vol. 9

Come join the fun in a blog tour to win Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks Vol. 9 magazine. I am honored to be a part of this blog tour and to have my block in their magazine.

My block is on page 34 and
is called Triangle Tricks. The fabric is Stonehenge by Northcott.

My inspiration came from
Colorful Star Tricks which was my block in
 Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks vol. 2.

Here are a few ideas of how to use the block Triangle Tricks.
Here is Triangle Tricks in a table runner.

I will also be giving a copy of my newest book
 Diamond Chain Quilts.
The quilt on the front of the book has only two different triangle blocks.
Can you find the two units?

Leave a comment on this post telling me if you found the two triangle units used to piece the quilt on the front cover of Diamond Chain Quilts and you will be entered in the 100 Blocks Vol. 9 magazine and Diamond Chain Quilts book giveaway . Check out Quiltmaker’s blog each day to see the other stops on the 100 Blocks Blog Tour!

In my next blog post (May3) I will show where the triangle block units are and announce the winners.

Having trouble finding the triangle block? Here is a hint.
The yellow lines are showing where a row of blocks are.

One evening we took supper to Mother's house.  The children
played games and looked at old pictures.

Last week I spoke to a senior citizen's group on quilts.
At 103 years young, Ruth is still piecing.
If I live that long I hope I can still piece quilts.

Join the blog tour to win prizes and to check out some new blocks with Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks.

I just finished sewing binding on my box quilt.

The young adults and youth group from church helped one evening to wrap towels for relief kits for Mennonite Central Committee.

Two towels will go into a bucket along with a tooth brush, tooth past, a wash cloth and other supplies which will be sent to
  Ethiopia.

I spent one day last week teaching
my class "Chinese Checkers" close to
Charlottesville, VA. 15 ladies took the class.
