This year's sewing retreat with my mother, sisters and some nieces was at Hilton Head, SC.  We had a time share for a week. Here is a taste of what we did.

Polly working on a modern scrap quilt.

Julia is one of the die-hard sewers.

June did mostly hand work for the week.

Jolene and Jillian added spice to our retreat by coming.

Emily is pinning her quilt together, getting it ready to machine quilt.

Rebecca chain sewing.

48 diamond chain ready to into my quilt.

Mother is enjoying a quilt Polly made of Father's shirts.

The next generation is getting into this sewing addiction.  Dexter spent one day making a quilt top too.

Sheila enjoying making fancy stitches.

This is the beginning of Clair's creation of a cupcake backpack.  She makes all of her nieces and nephews one of their choice. Check out her Russian  Stacking Dolls backpack on Polly's blog.

Some of our creations from the week.

We did get out to enjoy the ocean a little every day.

  1. It was amazingly hard to get them feet back and up for "Singing In The Rain". What fun. Hard to believe it now only a memory. Love You, Polly

  2. I love that you called Julia a "die-hard sewer"! I just thought she was very prolific! Ha-Ha. I only had one sister and she is gone now, so I love thinking of the wonderful time you sisters have together.
